Terms & Conditions
Bookings and Reservations
All reservations at Hotel Snow Palace are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of the required booking details or advance payment where applicable. Guests are responsible for providing accurate identification and contact information at the time of booking, and the hotel reserves the right to refuse or cancel a reservation in cases of incomplete or inaccurate information, suspected fraud, or unavailability of rooms due to unforeseen circumstances.
Stay, Check In, and Cancellation
Check in begins at 12 PM and check out is by 11 AM, with early check in or late check out available on request, subject to room availability. Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled check in time, after which cancellations may incur a charge as determined by the hotel. Pets are not permitted on the premises at any time during a guest's stay.
Guest Conduct and Liability
Guests are expected to treat hotel property, staff, and fellow guests with respect, and are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay, the cost of which may be charged accordingly. All guests must comply with the hotel's internal policies as well as applicable Indian and Jammu and Kashmir laws, including providing valid government issued identification at check in, and, where required by law, the registration of foreign nationals in accordance with the Foreigners Act and any local reporting requirements applicable in Kashmir. Hotel Snow Palace is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings except where required by law, and reserves the right to remove any guest found engaging in unlawful, unsafe, or disruptive conduct on the property, or to report such conduct to local police authorities where warranted.
Flagging this clearly, the identification and reporting requirements for guests in Jammu and Kashmir can be more specific than standard Indian hotel law, especially around foreign national registration and local police intimation. I have kept the language general and accurate at a high level, but this clause specifically should go through a lawyer familiar with current J&K regulations before publishing, since getting it wrong here carries more risk than the other sections.
