History
Established in 2008
Hotel Snow Palace was established in 2008 on the banks of the Jehlum in Rajbagh, one of Srinagar's most established riverside neighbourhoods. Its early years were shaped by the same forces that shaped the city itself, in 2014, Rajbagh became one of the worst affected areas when the Jhelum breached its banks and flooded large parts of Srinagar. Hotel Snow Palace did not escape the damage, but it did not stay down either. The property underwent a full renovation in the years that followed, rebuilt from the ground up with the same riverside address, now standing taller and stronger than before.
That resilience is part of what makes Hotel Snow Palace stand out today. Its architecture remains one of the most distinctive in Rajbagh, a building that guests notice long before they check in. Around it sits something few hotels in the neighbourhood can offer, the largest parking area in Rajbagh and an open garden space that feels like a quiet retreat away from the city's noise, a rare find this close to the heart of Srinagar.
